Barstools came in!

The stools came in, and I'm proud to say, I assembled them completely on my own... However, after putting them in their place, I noticed that three stools would've looked so much better!! So now I have to go back to BB&B and order a 3rd one because the other part of the counter needs one too.

But here are some pics of the two so far.. For some reason, these pics aren't that clear.

Oh, and I should show you pictures of our son's room.. We finally assembled the changing table (I know, early huh) and the room looks so much nicer now :-). I have yet to take a pic of it but will do so soon.

Bar stools.. another dream

It's always been a dream of mine to have barstools in my kitchen.. a cozy place to eat my morning cereal, or have a quick snack.
Here is the counterspace where they will go:

After looking at a bunch of stools from Samsclub, Costco, BedBath&Beyond and some local furniture stores, I finally decided on these swivel ones (Hudson stools, BB&B):

What do you think?? I hope they look good. The reason I picked these, and not ones with a wooden frame (as I had wanted before) was because our dinette chairs are similar in style. Here's how our nook looks:

Do you think they match somewhat? Theyre not going to be right next to each other so a little off-coloredness won't matter much hopefully!

I ordered them a few days ago, as soon as they arrive, I'll take a picture so you can see!

We moved in Thursday!! It was so exciting.. We're about 95% unpacked, thanks to the unending efforts of my mom... I have some pictures but the quality isn't that great.

A clean house is a happy house

New pictures for you. The house was cleaned and it looks so much better :-) Here is a picture of the kitchen, completely finished (The fridge is at my brother's house, we haven't brought it to the house yet)

Fireplace mantel was stained.. I love the way it looks with the granite, yay!
