What a difference interior trim makes!

Elevation is mostly done, we cancelled the shutters so nothing much left to do on the exterior. As for inside, however, interior trim work has begun!!! Tons of pictures for you today. Enjoy! =)

Kitchen cabinets are almost done! Island counter yet to come...

Ceramic tile has begun as well, here's the kids' bathroom.

And the master bathroom:

The shelf in the master shower for shampoo, conditioner, etc...
We did crown molding in the family, living and dining room. Has yet to be painted, but here is the family room. Notice the walls have been primed for paint. Makes the house look a lot brighter!

The creative trim the trimmer did above the entry to the dining and to the living rooms. This is the dining room.

The wainscott-esque trim in the dining room. I love it!

Working on the stairs! Here is the handrail and newels. Balusters to come..
We decided to do false treads after all.

Thanks for coming, hope you like!!

Brick, drywall, and more!

Went to see the house yesterday for the first time in almost two weeks and WOW! It changed so much!! Brick is done, roof is done, limestone keys done, drywall is almost done. Here are the latest pics (sorry they aren't in order, Blogger is so annoying!)

The den:

The garage:

Master bathroom - jacuzzi

Master bathroom - shower
We put a bench :-)
Master bedroom:
Love that awning window but we didn't think it through--our bed's headboard is so big it will probably completely cover it!! :(

View from the foyer:

Family room:
Love it! :)

Nook:

Kitchen:
We had some drama with that window, looks a lot better now though!

Exterior:
What do you think of the brick? The cultured stone isn't in yet.
Builder is saying the house should be done end of November! Can't believe it. We still have to finalize interior trim, paint, lighting, plumbing, appliances... Stay tuned ;)

The demolition

The demolition was on Wednesday, July 8th. It was incredible! It's pretty crazy how easy and quick it is to destroy, and how hard and time-consuming to build! The excavator reminded me of a dinosaur, I'm not sure why! Within less than two hours, the house was just a pile of rubble!

As he was demolishing, the dude stopped all of a sudden. We weren't sure why, but then we saw him using the crane to remove a refrigerator from the house!

It was so exciting, we're finally starting!!!! All the planning and talking and now we are going to actually SEE results! It's so weird to think that there's no house there anymore... and I never even stepped inside! HaHa! I guess it's too late for that now :-)

It took a few days for the demolition to be complete. They had to clean up afterwards too. Here's our builder the day of the demolition:
